Colorado - Visiting My Daughters!
It was so wonderful to see the girls! With COVID work rules for the girls and cancelled get togethers over the past year, it had been almost two years since seeing them.
We had a wonderful time exploring their new neighborhood, doing a little hiking and walking through Garden of the Gods.
I brought my drone and took a few shots here and there - but learned that many places in Colorado are “no fly zones.” It was available lesson in planning ahead and checking sites in advance. I read a few articles about in the early days of drones how loud they were and that some animals were frightened and crossed roads dangerously. Also how the solitude and silence of nature was disrupted for park visitors. It made me more mindful of respecting other people, privacy and nature.
The few times I was out recording everyone I encountered was very interested and fascinated with the drone. I did ask if I was intruding in any way - kindness goes a long way! Drones also are now a lot more quiet.
