Defending the Faith!

Margery and I are going to attend this "Apologetics" conference, hosted at a local Church in Zimmerman. We are not familiar with the speaker, but we are very intrigued.  Registration is free, but you must RSVP.  If you want to sit together, let us know!

Christian apologetics is the practice of defending the Christian faith through reasoned argumentation. It is a branch of Christian theology. Apologetics involves:
-Explaining the gospel (the Good News about Jesus)
-Attracting those who do not yet believe (evangelism)
-Responding to objections that people have about Christianity
-Strengthening the faith of those who believe

Apologetics has been practiced by early Christian writers such as the Apostle Paul and St. Justin Martyr. Also: Thomas Aquinas, Blaise Pascal, G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, Chuck Colson, Josh McDowell. The term "apologist" comes from the Greek word apologia, which means "speaking in defense".
