Ice Castles

We had a wonderful evening at Ice Castles in New Brighton Minnesota the other night. I went with my son Jake, the Marker Family Crew, and Beni who is visiting. The Marker’s invited us and I thought what a great winter activity to show Beni (living temporarily in Texas, but originally from Israel) how crazy we are in Minnesota. It was a fun evening. If you're looking for a family fun place - try it out. There were lots of ice benches, sculptures, tunnels, and very fun ice hills to sled down (not steep).

The ice must be made from a sprinkler system and wire mesh frames. It is very “other worldly” and when it got dark the led lights frozen inside the ice change colors and make very cool images.
