Palisade Head, North Shore MN
Keep hold of your kids!! Palisade Head is located near Silver Bay Minnesota. You can find it at mile marker 57 on the scenic highway 61. This huge rock formation rises over 350 feet above Lake Superior and offers a great scenic lookout. We have gone for years. If you have children - keep hold of them! There is a very small section of wall, otherwise it is just sheer rock face down to the water. There are only a couple paths on the top that lead you to different viewing points. On a clear day, you can see to Split Rock Lighthouse. I recommend dangling your feet over the edge! And if there are people rock climbing it’s very fun to watch.
