Puerto Rico Trip

We went on a family trip to Puerto Rico! It was amazing.

We were invited by our daughter Emily and Ben (her now fiancé!!!). Ben grew up in New York, lives in Denver, but is Puerto Rican and both Ben and Emily have a love for the island and people (and we can see why!). Our whole family was able to come, except for Megan who needed to work (adult decisons). Ben’s parents (Delma & Leslie) and brother (Andres) also joined the group and we very much enjoyed getting to know them.

On the trip Ben asked Emily to marry him! The night before he asked for our blessing and we gladly gave it - Margery cried! We have been hoping and praying for some time. And he is great! We are so happy for them.

Our Granddaughter Claire was able to come also! And she did so well with travel, lots of new faces, long days and many interruptions to her eating and sleeping schedule. She is adorable. It took her about a day to figure out that I was ok enough to hold her. Did I mention she is adorable? See pictures below.

We all stayed together in a huge Airbnb a couple blocks off the beach. Any of the dark clouds in the pictures are over the rain forest in Puerto Rico. Turns out that it rains in the rain forest a lot and unfortunately it did not cooperate with my drone schedule. We went to a couple of beaches and got a lot of pictures. Emily took me to her favorite beach and it was a fun day getting pictures of them as newly engaged couple and of a special area on the island that she particualrly loves.

We spent a very fun day in Old San Juan. Art. History. Churches (both churches we wanted to see that are historical had weddings that day - can hardly complain about that!!). The Old Fort was fun and the food was amazing.

Highly recommend a trip to Puerto Rico if your looking for a place to go!

Below are some of the many pictures I took!
